I’m a Savage when it comes to being a perfectionist. I tend to want things to be balanced and be inbproportion otherwise I go all crazy and stuff, in my mind at least. I have ever made a Zebra Cake before but it did not turn out great, so I pushed it aside and decided I would maybe try it in future. Then this Mug Cake came along and I thought well, why not give it a try with this method see how it comes out. My efforts bore great fruit because the Zebra Cake Mug Cake was far better than what I expected. Due to layering I used a small bowl so that I can be able to layer well. Next time I’ll use a Mug just to see whether it will really make a difference. The Mug Cake was spectacular and delicious to the last bite. LOVED it! I see this one becoming a regular dessert!

4 Tablespoons All Purpose Flour
3 Tablespoons Sugar
1 1/2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
Pinch Salt
3 Tablespoons Milk
5 Drops Vanilla Essence
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder

-Put the All Purpose Flour, Baking Powder, Pinch of Salt and Sugar in a Bowl
-Add the Vegetable Oil
-Pour in the 5 Drops of Vanilla Essence. Add Milk
-Mix the Dry Ingredients (All Purpose Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder, Salt) with the wet ingredients (Milk, Vegetable Oil, Vanilla Essence)
-Divide the Cake Batter into two equal parts in different bowls
-In one bowl add the 1/12 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
-Mix the mixture until it forms a smooth Cake Batter
-Drop a spoonful of the Cocoa Batter into your microwave Mug/ Bowl
-Drop a spoonful of the white Batter on top of the chocolate batter
-Keep alternating until you are done with both the Chocolate and white Cake batter
-Microwave high for 4 minutes but check after 2 minutes depending on your Microwave. Mine is not very high so I cooked for 4 minutes and it was done
-The Mug Cake is done when you lightly tap on the surface and it bounces back
-Carefully remove from the Microwave and Serve
